One hundred miles. That’s far, so you might as well choose to run a race that far that will fill your heart and mind with joy. The Mountain Lakes 100 is a very runnable course with no giant climbs or super technical sections. It also has the kindest and most helpful people supporting you along the entire distance, much of it along the Pacific Crest Trail in the Mt. Hood National Forest.
We expect to have to use the alternate course again in 2022, instead of the usual route that starts and finishes at Olallie Lake (due to the damage from the 2020 fire). If at all possible, we’ll be back at Olallie, but more likely will be basing the race from the Clackamas Historic Ranger Station and using the same route as 2021.
