GO RACE SERIES HAS RETIRED.
WE WILL NOT BE PRODUCING THIS EVENT IN 2018. THANK YOU TO ALL THE RACERS WHO RAN WITH US AND TO THE SPONSORS FOR SUPPORTING THE RUNNERS.
The Go Race Series is a series of four races held in Cook Park and Tualatin Community Park, on Wednesday evenings in early Spring. Each race is a different route and is a chip-timed 5K. Runners that participate in at least three races of the Series are included in the overall Series standings, and doing well in the Series will land you some fantastic gear from our great sponsors.
An award ceremony is held immediately after the final race, at the finish area. There, we will present awards to Series winners, age-group winners, and hold a raffle.
Maps are posted for each route the Monday before each race on this site and on the Go Race Series Facebook page.
Walkers – you can race too! We just ask that you can maintain a 15 minute/mile pace (finish a 5K in 47 minutes). There is not a separate award category for walkers.
Get ready to GO RACE!
Fee is $75 for the Series (for all four races). Series registration open through March 31st.
We offer single race registration at each event for $20. Show up 5:45-6:00 pm and sign up.
Super comfy poly-cotton shirts are available for purchase at the event for $20.
Please note that there are no transfers to other runners. If you need to cancel your registration and it’s more than 30 days prior to the race, you will receive a 50% credit toward a future Go Beyond Racing race. If your cancellation is 30 days or less from race day, there is no credit, no refund, or no transfer. See our cancellation policy for details.
The Spring Go Race Series races are every Wednesday evening, at 6:30 pm. The race start locations are at Cook Park in Tigard and Tualatin Community Park in Tualatin. The courses go through both parks.
Cook Park is located at 17005 SW 92nd Ave, Tigard Oregon.
Tualatin Community Park is located at 8515 SW Tualatin Road, Tualatin Oregon.
All races are chip-timed by Huber Timing.
The winner of a race receives 100 points. Every other racer receives points based on their time compared to the winner’s.
For example, Jen wins the race in 36:00. Kim finished in 56:00. Amy’s score is 100 because she won. Kelly’s score is 64.2. It is calculated by dividing the winner’s time (36 minutes) by her time (56 minutes) and then multiplying the results by 100. So 36/56 x 100 = 64.2
Points are calculated separately for men and women. Men use the men’s winning time, and women use the women’s winning time to calculate points.
Your total score is the sum of your three highest race scores. If you run all four races, your lowest scoring race is dropped. You are counted as a Series participant and your score will make you eligible for awards if you complete at least three races in the Series.
