Beneficiary

Go Beyond Racing donates a portion of your registration fee to a worthy organization.

The beneficiary of the Elk-Kings Trail Races is the Mazamas.

Mazama Logo

The Mazamas, founded in 1894 on the summit of Mt. Hood, is a nonprofit mountaineering education organization located in Portland, Oregon.  Mazamas offers over 700 hikes and 350 climbs annually.  A variety of classes and activities are offered for every skill and fitness level and are open to both members and non-members.

The Mazamas volunteer on the 25K & Mountain Marathon courses, helping racers via fixed ropes at the top of Elk mountain and on Kings mountain. They also maintain the trails on the Elk-King Traverse. The race donation will go to the Mazamas Stewardship fund which helps to maintain trails we all love to use.
